Burgundy Cocoon

Everything met in one perfect nursing cover! My third baby girl did not like traditional nursing covers or shirts pulled over her. I wasn’t comfortable nursing in public, even with a nursing top without some form of cover. A swaddle blanket works in a pinch but not so fun when it gets pulled down. This cocoon meets all our needs! Not hot, stylish, perfect length to pull a shirt up underneath and still not show much (I am tall) and baby can see light come through but no one can see in. They are beautiful and I feel stylish just wearing them as shawls when I’m not nursing . Bought the neutral and burgundy right before a big plane trip.

This is the 5th cocoon I have purchased, but the first I have bought for a friend. I travel (with my babies) a lot for work and I love the privacy it gives in public/unfamiliar spaces, as well as the way the fabric breathes to keep baby from overheating. As someone who wanted to be successful feeding babies but who is not a "whip it out" type of gal in any setting, I will say I wear my cocoons every single day and consider them an essential tool on my journey over two babies in the last couple years. I even used them in the hospital. The black sparkle is also "concert black" compliant for orchestra dress policies and looks great on stage (I am an orchestral musician) which means I can allow my Son to eat prior to the concert and move easily from the dressing room to the stage ready to perform. I have read that people are intimidated by the price point but mine are in the wash every week, sometimes multiple times and have held up beautifully for now over two years. Definitely a "buy once, cry once, type of investment and they have probably been one of my most essential purchases on my Motherhood journey with both my Daughter and now my infant Son. Excited to gift this cocoon to my sweet friend who will have her first baby later this summer.

I absolutely cannot live without my cocoon. I purchased a pair after I had my baby. Fell in love with them. Traveled with them. One trip to New York I accidentally left my navy one behind in the plane. I was so devastated. Cried! Haha (I know). But we had not even arrived at the hotel and I ordered a burgundy one. It’s one of the best pieces to travel with having a baby! I promise. I’m so in love with the burgundy color too! Happy accident maybe. ;)

I love my Cocoon! I'd had my eye on Amma for a couple of months before I finally caved and bought one. (The clincher was an upcoming solo airplane trip with my 5-month-old - I realized I needed an inconspicuous way to breastfeed him on the plane.) I told my husband I was buying an expensive nursing cover, and he was like, "Umm, okay", then he saw it and said, "Wow! That's really pretty!" Like every other mom on here, I wish I'd bought my Cocoon sooner! In the two weeks I've had it, it's already been my friend on road trips, meals and coffee out, and at church, and it will definitely be my friend on the plane. I know the price tag seems steep at first, but it's totally worth it!

I had problems nursing my first son but it’s been smooth with the second one so I wanted to feel comfortable even when outside our home. I was proud of myself for doing so with this beautiful cover! It’s so easy to handle and I love that it still lets a lot of air and sunshine through. You can obviously use it in other ways as well which makes it even better. And this color is pretty gorgeous 😊

I still have to help my baby latch, and I find without the hoop at the neck I can’t see my baby to get positioned comfortably. Plus living in a warmer climate you don’t really want to wear it as part of your outfit.

Comfortable, stylish, more breathable than a blanket

This is the 2nd we are mama purchase! They are for my daughter in-laws. My 1st grandchild did well nursing in the cocoon and my DIL loved it. My other daughter in-law is due in December and she’s looking forward to this gift!
